National Day 2025 to be launched in Johor, Malaysia Day 2025 in Penang

KUALA LUMPUR: This year’s National Day celebrations will be themed around Malaysia Madani: Rakyat Disantuni, utilise the same Malaysia Madani National Day logo, and will be launched in Johor, says Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.

He also said that the Malaysia Day celebrations, on Sept 16, will be held in Penang.

“Choosing Penang as the venue is in line with the rotation practice among Sabah, Sarawak and states in the peninsula,” says Fahami when launching the theme and logo at Angkasapuri here on Wednesday (June 11).

He stated that the National Day 2025 will commence with the launch event on July 25 in Muar, Johor, and the main event on August 31 will once again be held at Dataran Putrajaya.

He also said that several programmes have been planned, including 1 Rumah 1 Jalur Gemilang, Merdeka Countdown, QuranHour and Wayang Pacak Merdeka.

“The Jalur Gemilang campaign this year will include two new clusters, which are industry and government agencies, in addition to the five clusters from last year,” said Fahmi, who is also the National Day and Malaysia Day Main Committee chairman.

He called on the public to promote the grand celebrations nationwide.
