Rafizi remains absent from PKR National Congress

JOHOR BARU: Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli, who lost his bid to retain the PKR deputy president post, has remained absent from the party’s national congress here.

Rafizi, who lost to Nurul Izzah Anwar after gaining 3,866 votes against her 9,803 votes, has yet to be seen at the Persada International Convention Centre as of 11am on Saturday (May 24).

A seat next to party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, bearing Rafizi's name on the placard, remained unoccupied even after all 15 delegates had delivered their respective speeches.

Another figure who was also missing as of press time was Datuk Seri R. Ramanan, who won his bid to be one of the party's vice presidents after receiving 5,895 votes.
