Same answer as Nurul Izzah, no need for debate, says Fadhlina to Rodziah

PETALING JAYA: Fadhlina Sidek has turned down the call for a debate by Rodziah Ismail.

According to Sinar Harian, the PKR Wanita chief said that there was no need for a debate as the most important thing was to strengthen the party and give full support to the party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

"My answer is the same as Nurul Izzah Anwar, there is no need. Right now, our focus is to strengthen the party.

"All the initiatives we’ve undertaken are aimed at strengthening the party and showing full support for our president,” she told a press conference following a campaign event in Seremban on Monday (May 19) night.

Fadhlina was responding to Rodziah, who is challenging the Education Minister for the top Wanita post in the party.

She said that debates were good if taken in the context of discussing policy matters.

“But in the current climate, our focus should be on unity and strengthening the party,” she said.

Earlier, Nurul Izzah, who is challenging Rafizi Ramli for the No. 2 spot in the party, also declined his invitation for a debate.
