Technician killed in van-lorry collision near Dungun


DUNGUN: A technician died when the van he was driving collided with a trailer lorry at KM88 on Jalan Jerangau-Jabor at Al Muktafi Billah Shah (AMBS) near here.

Dungun OCPD Supt Maizura Abdul Kadir said Muhammad Aliff Fakrullah, 21, from Kampung Paman, Kemaman, died at the scene.

She said the crash occurred at 8.08pm Wednesday (May 14) when the victim, who was driving from Kuala Terengganu towards Kemaman, failed to overtake a vehicle and crashed into the oncoming lorry.

The impact left the victim pinned in his seat, she said here on Thursday (May 15).

Supt Maizura added that an investigation is being conducted under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. – Bernama
