Appeals court upholds man's 36-year prison sentence for incest


PUTRAJAYA: The Court of Appeal here upheld the 36-year prison sentence and 24 strokes of the cane imposed on a workshop owner convicted of incest and sexually assaulting his 12-year-old daughter over three consecutive days, four years ago.

Deputy public prosecutor Zander Lim Wai Keong confirmed to Bernama that a three-member panel led by Justice Datuk Che Mohd Ruzima Ghazali unanimously dismissed the 43-year-old appellant’s appeal against both conviction and sentence on Wednesday (May 14).
