Dr Wee wishes Umno a happy 79th anniversary

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong wishes all Umno members a "Happy 79th Anniversary" as he joins in celebrations for the party's anniversary at World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL) on Sunday (May 11).

In a Facebook post Sunday, the MCA president said he had gone to WTCKL on Sunday morning to join in the celebrations for Umno's 79th anniversary.

"At the event we also observed a moment of silence to honour and remember the fifth prime minister, the late Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, who passed away last month," the Ayer Hitam MC said in his post.

Dr Wee added that the event also served as the inaugural convocation for the first batch of students from the Umno Patriotic School.
