"The victim went for a walk on Friday (May 9) near the Sungai Raja Hitam jetty when she fell due to the rotted jetty floor.

"A distress call was made by Pantai Remis assemblywoman Wong May," he said in a statement on Saturday (May 10).

The rescue team arrived at the scene at about 11.30pm, and around 7.52am the following day, the victim's body was found and brought to the mangrove coastline.

"She was pronounced dead by Health Ministry personnel, and her remains were handed over to the police for further action," he added.
