Two vehicles damaged as tree topples in Bangsar


KUALA LUMPUR: A fallen tree damaged two vehicles in an incident in front of a house in Jalan Penaga, Bangsar, on Thursday (May 8).

Fire and Rescue Department operations commander, Senior Fire Officer Ramli Mohd said the Kuala Lumpur Operations Center received an emergency call regarding the incident through the MERS999 system at 3.03pm.

"Five officers and members of the fire department from the Pantai Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) were rushed to the scene of the incident.

"As soon as they arrived, they found that a tree had fallen in front of two houses," he said in a statement on Thursday, reported Sinar Harian.

He added that two vehicles were damaged in the incident and that no injuries or casualties were reported.

"The felling and cleaning work has been carried out with the help of the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL).

"The operation ended at 4.38 pm," he explained.
