PKR Youth backs Nurul Izzah for deputy president, says Adam Adli

PETALING JAYA: PKR Youth supports Nurul Izzah Anwar's bid for the party's deputy presidency, says Adam Adli (pic).

"Nurul Izzah is the face of the future, and we all must take a clear stand. PKR Youth supports her candidacy," said Adam in a Facebook post on Wednesday (May 7).

The PKR Youth chief said that this is a strategic move to strengthen the party's leadership.

He added that Nurul Izzah has served as an MP for three terms and dedicated herself to human rights activism, upholding values of justice, integrity, and institutional reform.

“In an increasingly complex political environment, Nurul Izzah stands as a figure who is not only credible and principled but also capable of inspiring the spirit of reform in the new generation, crossing various backgrounds,” said Adam.

Adam said the party is preparing for a new era and challenges, and Nurul at the forefront shows commitment to continuing the reform agenda.

He added that while PKR has nurtured various generations and backgrounds since its inception, this has in turn also created gaps in the party.

“This diversity has also created many gaps, prompting us to elevate leaders who are most effective in bridging these gaps, whether they are generational or gender-based,” said Adam.
