ISKANDAR PUTERI: Pulai MP Suhaizan Kaiat (pic), who is being treated for an infection at the intensive care unit of a private hospital, is in a stable condition, says his aide.

His personal assistant Mohamad Nizam Junait said his boss is being monitored by doctors.

“He is in a stable condition. He is currently resting,” he said when contacted yesterday.

For now, only close family members are allowed to visit Suhaizan at the hospital, he added.

Suhaizan, 52, was admitted at around 11pm on Tuesday.

“He had a fever and experienced a drop in oxygen levels and was admitted to the ICU.

“Let us pray for his speedy recovery,” said Mohamad Nizam.

Meanwhile, Johor Pakatan chairman and Amanah chief Aminolhuda Hassan urged the public not to speculate about Suhaizan’s health.

“His admission into the hospital has sparked panic and speculation, with many people coming up with theories and assumptions.

“We hope the public will not jump to conclusions and spread unverified statements. They do not help the situation nor Suhaizan’s health,” said Aminolhuda.

The Sri Gading MP issued a statement after visiting Suhaizan yesterday.
