Cops nab suspect, recover stolen items from Johor school


KLUANG: Police have arrested a 33-year-old man and recovered an array of items stolen from a school computer laboratory several days ago.

Kluang OCPD Asst Comm Bahrin Mohd Noh said a team from the district police’s Criminal Investigation Department made the arrest at Taman Jaya in Simpang Renggam at 5pm on Friday (April 25).

Among the items seized are the five stolen aircond compressors, cables and an array of tools used to commit the crime.

The suspect with several past police records also tested positive for drugs.

The police received a report from the school authorities about the missing items in Simpang Renggam at 8am on Tuesday (April 22).

The suspect has since been remanded to assist investigations.

ACP Bahrin urged those with information regarding criminal activities to contact the nearest police station or reach out to the Kluang district police headquarters at 07-7784222 or the hotline at 07-7766822.
