KUALA LUMPUR: More PKR divisions might need to conduct fresh elections after objections by party members are reviewed in the coming week, says Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa (pic).
The party's election committee chairman said some time is needed to wrap up its look at the divisional elections.
“There are some more. We will know, maybe within a week,” she said when met at the sidelines of the launch of the Warisan Kuala Lumpur initiative at Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) on Friday (April 25).

“It will take some time because we have to look at all the objections... one by one,” added Dr Zaliha, who is Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories).
On Thursday (April 24), Dr Zaliha said the Selayang, Jempol and Silam divisions need to hold fresh elections and internal notices would be issued.
On Wednesday (April 23), PKR strategy director Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir said he would lodge a formal protest with the party’s election committee over the results, which saw him lose his seat as Johor Baru division chief.
Several top candidates contesting in the party polls confirmed that they had submitted formal appeals to the election committee following concerns raised over the transparency of the results and the voting process.
