KL cop's ear bitten off by 'aggressive' foreigner

KUALA LUMPUR: A policeman had part of his ear bitten off by a foreigner who had become violent after being detained.

When contacted, Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa said that the incident occurred along Jalan Kepong on Friday (April 25).

“The policeman was informed by MERS999 that a foreign man was being aggressive. The suspect, a 38-year-old Nigerian man, had caused a ruckus at a clinic there before his arrest.

“As the handcuffed suspect was being brought into the police car, he became aggressive and refused to cooperate. The suspect then bit the victim on the left ear, causing (part of) it to be ripped off,” he said.

Comm Rusdi said that the policeman is currently being treated for his injuries at the Kuala Lumpur hospital.
