Shoppers flock to Tapah Prison


TAPAH: People flocked to the area in front of Tapah Prison on Tapah Road where the Rahmah Madani Sale programme offered attractive deals.

A range of daily necessities, including rice, oil, flour, eggs, chicken and meat, were sold at discounted prices, allowing consumers to enjoy considerable savings.

Civil servant Norizan Bakkia, 45, found the programme to be highly beneficial, especially in the middle of the month before receiving her salary.

“As soon as I found out about this programme, I came to grab some goods. I couldn’t miss the chance to buy things at prices lower than usual,” she told Bernama.

Mohd Nor Bahari Baharudin, 58, a retired teacher, welcomed the implementation of the programme, saying that it has been a great help for pensioners like him.

“As a retiree with no fixed income, programmes like this give me the chance to buy essentials without worrying too much,” he said.
