Storm warning: Thunderstorms, heavy rain expected over ten states, two FTs until 7pm


KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a weather warning, with thunderstorms. heavy rain and strong winds forecast in ten states and the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya until 7pm Tuesday (April 15).

In a statement Tuesday, MetMalaysia said the areas affected include Kedah (Sik, Baling, Kulim and Bandar Baharu), Perak (Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Kuala Kangsar,Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang, and Muallim), Terengganu (Hulu Terengganu, Dungun, and Kemaman), Pahang (Jerantut), Selangor (Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling, Kuala Langat, Hulu Langat, and Sepang), Negri Sembilan (Seremban, Port Dickson and Rembau), Melaka and Johor (Tangkak, Muar, Batu Pahat, Kluang, Pontian, Kulai, and Johor Baru).

In Sarawak, the areas affected are Kapit (Belaga), Miri and Limbang while in Sabah, the areas affected are Interior, West Coast, and Tawau (Tawau).
