Fewer hurdles for tunnel

KUALA LUMPUR: Former Penang chief minister Lim Guan Eng had suggested for Consortium Zenith Construction Sdn Bhd (CZCSB) to build an undersea tunnel because it involved fewer approvals from the Federal Government, the Sessions Court heard.

Former CZCSB director Datuk Zarul Ahmad Mohd Zulkifli testified that Lim suggested the tunnel over a third bridge before his company received the letter of intent for the undersea tunnel project from the Penang state government.
