Road closures and diversions during Xi Jinping’s visit to Malaysia


PETALING JAYA: Multiple road diversions and closures will occur during Chinese Presi­dent Xi Jinping's state visit to Malay­sia, says Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri.

The Bukit Aman Traffic Inves-tigation and Enforcement Depart-ment director said this will be in effect from tomorrow to Thursday.

“As many as 17 roads will face full closures and diversions for the state visit. They will last around 30 to 45 minutes to allow the delegation to move. Roads will fully reopen after that,” he said.

Affected roads and highways include the Elite Highway, the Mex Highway, and Jalan Sultan Abdul Halim.

“There will be 378 policemen and officers stationed for escort and traffic control duties,” he added.

The affected roads are:

• April 15 (6pm): Lebuh KLIA, Lebuhraya ELITE, Lingkaran Putrajaya, Lebuh­raya Putrajaya-Dengkil, Persiaran Selatan, Lebuh Gemi­lang, Jalan P5.

• April 16 (9.30am): Jalan P5, Lebuh Gemilang, Persiaran Sela­tan, Lebuhraya Putrajaya-Dengkil, Lingkaran Putrajaya, Lebuhraya MEX, Lebuhraya Kesas, Lebuh­raya SPE, Lebuhraya SUKE, Lebuh­raya NPE, SMART Tunnel, Lebuhraya KL-Seremban, Jalan Istana, Jalan Damansara, Jalan Sultan Abdul Halim, Jalan Sultan Iskandar.

• April 16 (12.30pm): Jalan Sultan Abdul Halim, Jalan Sultan Iskandar, Jalan Damansara, Jalan Istana, Lebuhraya KL-Seremban, Lebuhraya SUKE, Lebuhraya NPE, Lebuhraya SPE, Lebuhraya Kesas, Lebuhraya MEX, Lingkaran Putra­jaya, Lebuhraya Putrajaya-Dengkil, Persiaran Selatan, Lebuh Gemilang, Jalan P5.

• April 17 (8.50am): Jalan P5, Lebuh Gemilang, Persiaran Selatan, Lebuhraya Putrajaya-Dengkil, Lingkaran Putrajaya, Lebuhraya ELITE, Lebuhraya KLIA.
