Kelantan confident Federal Govt will consider development project proposals, says MB

BACHOK: The Kelantan government is confident that all development project proposals presented to the federal government will receive due consideration.

Kelantan Mentri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud said the proposals were discussed with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim during the Special Meeting on Kelantan State Development held at Kota Darulnaim on Saturday (April 12).

"Alhamdulillah, several projects that are a priority for the Kelantan government were presented to the Prime Minister.

"InsyaAllah, I am optimistic that, in the spirit of strong federalism, these proposals will be given due consideration by the federal government for the welfare of the people of Kelantan," he said in his speech at the state-level Aidilfitri Madani 2025 celebration with the Prime Minister at Pantai Irama.

Mohd Nassuruddin expressed hope that the good relationship between the state and federal governments, based on the principles of federalism, would continue to flourish.

"The state and federal governments should not compete against one another but move in tandem to achieve the people's agenda.

"We in Kelantan follow the strategic plan of 'Penghayatan Membangun Bersama Islam' and are always committed to preserving unity and harmony among the people to ensure a mature and prosperous relationship with the federal government for the benefit of the people," he said.

He emphasised that the peace and harmony forged in the country should continue to be preserved and protected.

"The rise and fall of Islam's future is our shared responsibility, to be shouldered so that its obligations can be fulfilled in the best way possible.

"I wish to express my highest gratitude and appreciation to the Prime Minister and his delegation for visiting Kelantan and for organising the Aidilfitri Madani celebration to draw close to the people in this state," he concluded. – Bernama
