SHAH ALAM: Exceptional customer experience and service is one of the many aspirations of Fella Design, home grown furniture retail brand that saw phenomenal success in the 80s and 90s through mass-market customisable sofa settees.

To keep raising the bar, the brand invited Ashley Furniture international retail and operations vice president Brad Clark, of which Fella Design is the licensing operator in Malaysia, for a world-class training summit at the brand’s headquarters in Bukit Subang, here.

In an inspiring and impactful four-day event, Clark shared the finer points of furniture retail, customer engagement, technical knowledge and sales best practices with a local team from all over Peninsula Malaysia.

With decades of retail experience and extensive global perspective, Clark’s leadership and insights made for an engaging and elevated training experience.

“Next year Fella Design will be a remarkable 40 years old,” said Fella Group chief executive officer Yu Kong Cing.

“One of Fella Design’s commitments is to continuous learning and this training summit represents our effort to keep reinventing ourselves.”

The summit also marks an incredible milestone in Clark’s career, as he celebrated his achievement of 10,000 trainees successfully trained throughout his career with Fella Design’s Malaysian cohort. His dedication to empowering others has left a lasting impact on the global workforce.

“It’s important for local firms with international partners to pick up global best practices and bring a culture of excellence into Malaysia’s retail landscape,” said Lucas Chen, one of the summit graduates.

“Clark’s perspective and insights are invaluable to us on the sales floor.”
