Storm warning: Thunderstorms, heavy rain expected over six states until 4pm


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a weather warning, saying that thunderstorms and heavy rain have been forecast in six states until 4pm on Thursday (March 13).

In a statement on Thursday, MetMalaysia said the areas affected are Kelantan (Machang and Kuala Krai) as well as Terengganu (Besut, Setiu and Kemaman).

Aside from that, other areas affected are Pahang (Jerantut, Kuantan and Pekan) as well as Negeri Sembilan (Tampin) and Melaka, Johor (Tangkak, Segamat, Muar, Batu Pahat, Kluang and Kota Tinggi).

The public is advised to visit www.met.gov.my or MetMalaysia’s official social media channels and download the myCuaca application for the latest accurate information.
