Woman killed in crash on North-South Expressway


KULAI: A woman was killed instantly when the car she was travelling in lost control and hit another car on the North-South Expressway.

Kulai OCPD Asst Comm Tan Seng Lee said the incident took place at KM 39.9 of the southbound section on Sunday (March 9) at 5.30pm.

He said her 30-year-old husband drove the car with the victim and their two children, aged two months and four years, as passengers.

"The car skidded to the emergency lane and flipped after hitting the Proton Persona driven by a 32-year-old local man," ACP Tan said in a statement.

He said the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act.

The drivers and the children were taken to Kulai Hospital for treatment.
