Four youths nabbed for 'superman stunts' on North-South Expressway

MUAR: A 17-year-old boy and his three friends have been arrested by the police for performing dangerous motorcycle stunts on the North-South Expressway near here.

Muar OCPD Asst Comm Raiz Mukhliz Azman Aziz said the four, aged 17 to 20, had allegedly performed “superman” stunts at KM143 of the expressway last Sunday (Oct 18).

“Their actions were filmed by a member of the public in a video which has since gone viral.

“We tracked them down and arrested them at Banting, Selangor, at around midnight on Tuesday (Oct 20) to assist investigations,” he said in a statement on Thursday (Oct 22).

ACP Raiz Mukhliz said three of the suspects worked in the food and beverage industry while one is unemployed.

On Thursday morning, one suspect, a 19-year-old man, was fined RM1,000 by the Muar Magistrate’s Court after pleading guilty under Section 279 of the Penal Code, which covers reckless driving.

Investigations remain ongoing for the remaining three, who have yet to be brought to court.
