RM42mil spent on landscape maintenance in Putrajaya from 2014 to 2024, says Dr Zaliha


KUALA LUMPUR: A total of RM42mil was spent on maintaining the landscape in Putrajaya from 2014 to last year, the Dewan Rakyat was told.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Dr Zaliha Mustafa said the cost covers an area of 1,873 hectares covering several public parks.

They are Taman Saujana Hijau, Taman Rimba Desa, Taman Rimba Alam, Taman Pancarona, Taman Wetland, Taman Botani, Taman Putra Perdana, Taman Warisan Pertanian, Taman Wawasan, Taman Selatan, Jalan-jalan Protokol, Kawasan Zon Penampan, several neighbourhoods, and a lakefront that covers 38% of Putrajaya.

Meanwhile, RM2.6mil was spent for upgrading and landscaping works in preparation for Malaysia’s Asean chairmanship this year.

From Jan 1 this year, Malaysia assumed chairmanship of Asean from Laos.
