Man dies after tree crushes car in Klang, teen girl escapes unharmed

KLANG: A 46-year-old man died when a tree fell on a car at Jalan Batu 3 in Kampung Bukit Kuda here.

A 13-year-old girl, who was also in the car, escaped unscathed and was pulled out of the vehicle by passers-by.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said the unconscious man was trapped in the driver's seat and had to be extricated by firemen from the South Klang fire station.

He added the emergency call was received at 6.31pm and the six-member firemen team arrived at the scene of the incident at 6.37pm.

The man was pulled out of the vehicle at 7.12pm and was declared dead by medical personnel who were deployed to the site.
