KUALA LUMPUR: The harmonious atmosphere where people of various backgrounds carry out their businesses together is what makes Sabah unique, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.
The MCA president who visited Pasar Besar Kudat in Sabah on Sunday (Feb 16) morning said the market is a gathering place for locals of all ethnicities.
"I was there to distribute mandarin oranges and 2025 calendars to vendors and shoppers.
I could see vendors from various backgrounds doing business under the same roof," he shared on his Facebook page today.
Dr Wee said he was told it is a place where people gather regardless of race and ethnicity.
"The harmonious atmosphere here is what makes Sabah truly unique," he added.
