KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Tourism Board has recognised I-World Travel for its commitment to promoting community-based tourism (CoBT) in Sabah.

On Wednesday (Feb 12), STB chairman Datuk Joniston Bangkuai presented a certificate of recognition to I-World Travel chief executive officer Amity Wong during the company’s Chinese New Year open house.

Bangkuai, who is also the Assistant Tourism, Culture, and Environment Minister, praised I-World Travel for actively promoting CoBT experiences, particularly in Tenom and Kudat.

With growing global interest in sustainable and community-driven travel, he reaffirmed Sabah Tourism’s support for industry players who contribute to CoBT’s development.
