Motorcyclist nabbed for obstructing officials during Penang Bridge op

GEORGE TOWN: A motorcyclist was arrested for using abusive language on Road Transport Department (JPJ) and security agency personnel during an integrated operation at Penang Bridge on Sunday (Feb 9).

Central Seberang Prai OCPD Asst Comm Helmi Aris said the suspect was arrested for using profanities on a civil servant after expressing dissatisfaction over receiving summonses for expired road tax and insurance during the operation at 10pm.

"During the process of seizing the motorcycle, the officers were obstructed from carrying out their duties by the man, who also used foul language," he said in a statement on Monday (Feb 10).
