Five nabbed over Jalan Klang Lama nightclub ramming incident


KUALA LUMPUR: Police have arrested five suspects linked to an incident where vehicles ploughed into a group of men in front of a nightclub on Jalan Klang Lama.

Kuala Lumpur deputy police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Azry Akmar Ayob stated that the suspects were apprehended in Banting and have prior police records.

"Three more suspects remain at large and are urged to surrender to the police," he added in a statement on Thursday (Jan 30).

The police released the names of the suspects still at large: Devindran Muniandy, 25; Ranjith Maniyarasu, 19; and Lavindran Muniandy, 27.

DCP Azry previously noted that the incident stemmed from a prior disagreement between the suspects and the victims, who were out partying.

Two people were injured in the incident.
