Cops investigating vehicles ramming into a group of men in KL


KUALA LUMPUR: The police are investigating an incident where drivers of two vehicles ploughed into a group of men along Old Klang Road.

A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media.

Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood said a 24-year-old man lodged a police report over the incident, which occurred in front of a nightclub at Old Klang Road on Wednesday (Jan 29).

"Both vehicles rammed into a group of men, injuring three of them.

"One of the victims was rushed to the hospital for treatment," he said in a statement.

He said not all victims have lodged a police report on the incident.

"We are investigating under Section 307 of the Penal Code (attempted murder)," he added.

ACP Ku Mashariman urged those with information on the incident to contact KL police hotline at 03-2115 9999 or Brickfields police hotline at 03-2297 9222 or any nearest police station.
