MetMalaysia warns of thunderstorms in multiple states until noon on Jan 26


PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) is warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in most parts of the country until 12pm on Sunday (Jan 26).

In a statement, MetMalaysia said the states affected are Perak (Manjung, Perak Tengah, Bagan Datuk and Hilir Perak) as well as Selangor (Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Klang, Gombak, Petaling, Kuala Langat, Hulu Langat and Sepang).

Aside from this the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya are also affected along with Negeri Sembilan (Seremban, Port Dickson and Rembau) and Melaka (Alor Gajah and Central Melaka).

In Sarawak, the areas affected are Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah and Kapit (Song) while the areas set to experience adverse weather in Sabah are Tawau, Lahad Datu, Kinabatangan and Sandakan.
