Maya, who is of German-Malay parentage, also voiced her gratitude to her fans, saying that she appreciates that they had not forgotten about her.

The actress, whose full name is Maya Karin Roelcke, will soon be seen in the movie Telaga Suriram, which also stars Farid Kamil, Nabila Huda and Scha Alyahya.

> An angler in Bentong, Pahang, was concerned after catching a peacock bass, an invasive species, while fishing in Kelau Dam, Sinar Harian reported.

“This is the first time I have caught such a fish, and I have been coming here for the past few years,” said Abdul Hadi Mohd Tarmizi, 42.

He said that he had previously heard accounts of people releasing peacock bass into the dam and that the fish would bite a person’s fingers.

“This is worrying as local species could be decimated if the peacock bass continues to breed here,” he added.
