Oil and Gas Career Day event to empower graduates to venture into industry

KOTA KINABALU: Graduates and school leavers interested in venturing into the oil and gas industries are encouraged to attend a career day organised by various parties including Petronas this coming Saturday.

The Oil and Gas Career Day event will be hosted by Petronas for the third time, and will feature over 20 companies and offer more than 700 jobs across various industry sectors to local graduates and school leavers in the state, said Petronas in a statement.

This event will be held at the Sabah International Convention Centre from 9am to 5pm.

It will see Petronas collaborating with the Social Security Organisation (Perkeso) Sabah and the Sabah Human Resource Development Department to create a comprehensive platform offering career opportunities and valuable information.

Representatives from higher education institutions and training institutes across Sabah will also take part, said Petronas.

In addition to the career and education exhibition, this programme will feature a lineup of distinguished speakers who will share insights into their personal career journeys in the oil and gas industry, along with valuable tips on resume writing, interview techniques, and more.

Visitors and attendees will have the opportunity to interact with industry professionals, ask questions, and gain valuable insights on how to build a successful career in the field.

Petronas' active efforts in organising the Oil and Gas Career Day not only highlight its dedication to development and growth but also underscore its commitment to building a sustainable workforce for the nation, particularly in Sabah.
