Mayors reassigned in reshuffled of Johor Civil Service officers

JOHOR BARU: Nine top state civil servants, including two mayors, have been reassigned to new roles following a statewide reshuffle of Johor Civil Service (JCS) officers.

Former Johor Baru City Council (MBJB) mayor Datuk Mohd Noorazam Osman has been appointed the new chief executive officer of the Iskandar Regional Development Authority (Irda).

Noorazam replaces Datuk Dr Badrul Hisham Kassim, who is now the chief executive officer of the Johor Civil Servants Academy.

Taking over as the new MBJB mayor is Datuk Mohd Haffiz Ahmad, the former mayor of the Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP).

Haffiz is succeeded by former Johor Baru district officer Ahmad Nazir Mohd Nasir as the new MBIP mayor.

Other departments affected by the reshuffle include the Land and Mines Department, the Segamat and Johor Baru district offices, the Johor Islamic Cooperation, and the State Secretary's Office.
