Grandma’s first cooking competition a spicy success

Cooking up a storm: Saraswathy and her competitor making their dishes during a community cooking competition organised by the Taman Desa Kulai Kawasan Rukun Tetangga.

JOHOR BARU: For her maiden attempt in a cooking competition, housewife K. Saraswathy came armed with a spicy “secret recipe”.

To make her dried chilli chicken dish extra special, she prepared her own spice mix of blended fennel seeds, cumin, cloves, cinnamon and coriander seeds.
