Carcasses of cat, dog found at UM campus will be sent to DVS for post-mortem


KUALA LUMPUR: The carcases of the dismembered animals discovered at Universiti Malaya campus grounds will be sent to the Department of Veterinary Services (DVS)'s laboratory for post-mortem examinations.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa, in a statement on Thursday (Dec 26), said that the post mortems would be conducted on Dec 27.

"As of now, seven people, including lecturers and students from Universiti Malaya (UM), and an animal rights activist have had their statements recorded," he said.

Comm Rusdi added that the activist also handed over the remains of a cat found on Dec 20.
