LRT station damaged in brawl between football hooligans


KUALA LUMPUR: Several facilities at the Bandar Tasik Selatan LRT station were damaged following the brawl between two groups of football fans.

Prasarana said the incident at midnight on Saturday (Dec 21) caused damage to various facilities, including train doors and windows.

"However, no injuries were reported. We deeply regret this incident and we will not tolerate any form of violence and aggressive behaviour at stations or inside the trains," it said in a statement on Saturday.

A report was lodged at the Sungai Besi police station over the incident.

"We are working with the police to investigate this matter further so that appropriate action can be taken against those involved," Prasarana said.

Earlier, a video of the brawl went viral on social media.
