Cops seek public help to find missing 15-year-old girl in Cheras


KAJANG: Fifteen-year-old Yap Xin Yuan went missing after going for a lion dance practice at Batu 11 Cheras on Thursday (Dec 19) and police are seeking public help to find her.

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Naazron Abdul Yusof said a missing person report was lodged at 2.15am on Friday (Dec 20).

"She is 155cm with long hair and has braces in her teeth.

"She was last seen wearing a red shirt at the Batu 11 Cheras basketball court, where she went for a lion dance practice," he said in a statement Saturday (Dec 21).

Investigations showed that she had followed a friend after the practice session, he said.

"We urge those with information to contact investigating officer Insp Muhammad Tasnim Mohamed Not at 014-620 9960 or Kajang police at 03-8911 4222 or any nearby police station," he said.
