PM thanks cultural workers for their dedication, hard work

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim expresses his appreciation to cultural performers and workers for their dedicated support of various official national programmes.

In a Facebook post Thursday (Dec 19), the Prime Minister acknowledged that amidst the demanding task of managing state affairs, the commitment and hard work of civil servants and support staff, including cultural dancers, musicians and singers, often goes unrecognised.

"While waiting for the arrival of Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdimuhamedow at the Seri Perdana Complex for a lunch session, I took the opportunity to converse with the cultural dancers who were specially trained and brought in from Istana Budaya," he wrote.

"They informed me that for every official state visit, a week is set aside for rehearsals according to the cultural theme set for the event,” he added.

The Prime Minister, consequently, expressed his gratitude for their contributions and expressed hope that they would continue to create and elevate the nation’s arts and culture. – Bernama
