Osaka's World Expo 2025 golden opportunity for Malaysia, says new Japanese ambassador


PETALING JAYA: The upcoming World Expo 2025 in Osaka will be a golden opportunity for Malaysia to shine on the global stage, says Japanese ambassador to Malaysia Shikata Noriyuki.

In his maiden video address on the official Japanese Embassy Instagram page, Noriyuki said that Japan welcomed Malaysian participation for the upcoming expo.

"This will be a wonderful opportunity for Malaysia to shine on the global stage and for us to deepen our ties in areas such as sustainability and technology," he said.

He added that he looked forward to supporting Malaysia's 2025 Asean Chairmanship which he described as "a key moment for this vibrant nation".
