Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act 2024 to be enforced on Jan 1, 2025


PUTRAJAYA: The government is expected to enforce the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act (EECA) 2024 on Jan 1 next year, with the Energy Commission acting as the implementing and regulatory agency.

In a statement Wednesday (Dec 4), the Energy Transition and Water Transformation Ministry announced that the Act had received the consent of the King, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim on Nov 14, 2024, and was gazetted on Nov 26, 2024.
