Soldier who had just welcomed first child dies during training session


PETALING JAYA: A soldier, who had just welcomed his first child, died, believed due to dehydration, during a training session at Terendak Camp in Melaka on Tuesday, Oct 22.

Sinar Harian reported that the day before the incident, the late LBdr Mohd Izuan Hafiz Mohd Supian, 26, from the 361 Bti RAD (Para) unit, uploaded a picture of their vacation with his wife and child in Cameron Highlands to his social media.

It is understood that the late soldier, who had been married for less than a year, was laid to rest at the Kuala Sungai Baru Cemetery, Melaka, on Wednesday (Oct 23).

In a TikTok post, friends described Mohd Izuan Hafiz as a kind person, and they were saddened to hear the news of his passing.

Meanwhile, the Commander of the 10th Brigade (Para), Major General Datuk Khairul Azmizal Ahmad Natal, and the entire brigade also expressed sadness and offered their condolences to Mohd Izuan's family.

“May Allah grant strength to his family, and we pray that the soul of the deceased is always blessed with mercy and placed among the faithful,” he said.
