Senior cop, three others transferred over police HQ party

SHAH ALAM: A senior officer and three police personnel have been transferred over a party that took place at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of a district police headquarters.

Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said checks revealed that a corporal made merry with four members of the public - three women and a man - in the room during the incident on Sept 28.

"All the individuals were listening to loud music as well as eating during the incident.

"It is an offence to bring members of the public into office premises without any official reasons," he told a press conference at the Selangor police headquarters on Monday (Oct 7).

Further investigations were conducted following the incident, he said.

"We took stern action in transferring the police personnel immediately.

"Three other policemen - a senior officer and two personnel - have been transferred to Johor and Kelantan," he said.

This case follows on the heels of a nightclub raid recently which led to the arrests of three police personnel who also tested positive for drugs, who have since been transferred to the Selangor police management department, Comm Hussein said.

"We are taking action for the criminal offence as well as disciplinary action," he said.
