Fire in KLCC from boxes burning in trash, says Bomba

KUALA LUMPUR: Burning boxes in a rubbish container led to the Fire and Rescue Department being called to KLCC on Sunday (Sept 29) evening.

In a statement, the city Fire and Rescue Department said that the team arrived at the shopping centre at 8.12pm.

"At the scene, the responding team saw thick smoke on the third floor and searched for the source. The cause was found inside an emergency stairway, where boxes were burning inside a trash container," he said.

The fire was fully extinguished at 8.45pm and no one was hurt.
