Mahkota polls: Kluang MCA division ready to help voters, says Wanita MCA chief

KLUANG: Mahkota voters with enquiries about the by-election, which take place tomorrow (Sept 28) can seek assistance from the Kluang MCA division, says Datuk Wong You Fong.

The Wanita MCA chief also reminded the wing to encourage voters to head out on polling day to exercise their duty as a citizen.

“Polling day starts at 8am on Saturday, please remember to come out and vote.

“If any issues arise, voters can simply refer to MCA Kluang for assistance, our members will lend you a hand,” she said when attending a dance event here on Thursday (Sept 26) night.

Wong added that the event was a celebration of dance, with a total of 22 groups from Johor Baru, Kluang and Batu Pahat coming together to perform.

The Mahkota by-election sees Barisan Nasional candidate Syed Hussien Syed Abdullah in a straight contest against Perikatan Nasional’s Mohamad Haizan Jaafar, with polling day set for Saturday (Sept 28).

Mahkota has an electoral roll of 66,318 voters, nearly half of whom work outside Kluang.

The state constituency is classified as mixed, with 56% Malays, 34% Chinese, 8% Indians and the remaining 2% consisting of people from other races.
