GISB case: Cops seize books buried along riverbank in Kelantan

KOTA BARU: Police seized dozens of books related to the teachings and doctrines of Global Ikhwan Holdings Sdn Bhd (GISB) along the riverbank near the group’s followers’ residences in Kampung Panji, on Saturday (Sept 21).

According to Sinar Harian, the books were found buried along the riverbank area, believed to have been concealed after the chief executive officer of GISB was arrested by police on Friday (Sept 20) during a raid in Bukit Bintang.

Ops Global which began at 7am involved the police, the Social Welfare Department and the Kelantan Islamic Religious Affairs Department.

It was also reported that police raided a house where the GISB chief executive officer, Datuk Nasiruddin Mohd Ali, stayed in Kelantan.

The house near Kampung Panji was among three that were raided by the police, Welfare Department, and Kelantan Islamic Religious Affairs Department on Saturday morning.

It is understood that 30 people, including 20 children and the CEO's second wife, live in the three homes and were at home during the raid.
