PUTRAJAYA: Colouring chicks is not considered an act of animal cruelty as long as the colours and methods used do not pose harm, danger, pain, or suffering to the animals, according to the Department of Veterinary Services (DVS).
In a statement on Friday (Sept 13), the DVS clarified that this was stipulated under Section 29 of the Animal Welfare Act 2015 (Act 772).
