Another robbery suspect detained


KUALA LUMPUR: Another suspect who robbed a house in Kampung Pasir, Semenyih in July, has been detained.

Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the 45-year-old man, who is from Sabah, was detained in Lahad Datu on Wednesday (Sept 11).

"The suspect has been remanded for six days. He has a record of two previous crimes," he told reporters after the Tribute to Tun Hanif event held at the Royal Malaysia Police college on Thursday (Sept 12).

It was previously reported that police had managed to track down another suspect involved in the robbery.

Three policemen were previously detained in connection with the robbery.

Two, aged 32 and 35, are with the General Operations Force and were detained at the GOF headquarters in Cheras on Aug 1.

Also detained was a 24-year-old GOF personnel who surrendered himself to the Kajang police headquarters.

Another suspect, a civilian, was detained on Aug 2.
