IPOH: In an effort to track down an Indonesian woman across borders in the tragic case of the infant found buried in a house last month, police may seek help from Interpol.
Perak police chief Comm Azizi Mat Aris said investigations were ongoing to trace the woman, known to be the last tenant of the house in Taman Sri Rokam near here.
"At this time, it cannot be ascertained whether the woman is still in Malaysia or has returned to her country of origin.
"We will work with other agencies such as the Immigration Department in addition to using all our intelligence facilities," he said at a press conference after the monthly gathering at the state police contingent headquarters here on Monday (Sept 9).

"Perhaps if we identify that the subject has returned (to the country of origin), then we will use diplomatic channels through Interpol," added.
Previously, Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad said in a statement that according to Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital pathology, the baby was a girl believed to have been delivered at seven months of pregnancy.
On Aug 28, a man found the body wrapped in cloth around 11am while repairing a house he planned to rent out.
