KUALA LUMPUR: A drug trafficking syndicate, masterminded by a civil servant, was busted following ten raids conducted in Johor Baru and the Klang Valley.
A total of 10 individuals, including a 38-year-old civil servant, believed to be the leader and mastermind of the syndicate, were detained on Sept 5 and 6.
The raids were conducted in Cheras, Kajang and Johor Baru.
Bukit Aman Narcotic Crime Investigation Department (NCID) director Comm Datuk Seri Khaw Kok Chin said four individuals - two local men, a Thai man and a Thai woman - were detained in Taman Bukit Cheras, a local woman in Bandar Tun Razak and the civil servant in Kajang.
