Follow-up actions to be taken to improve facilities at SK Bangsar, says Fahmi

KUALA LUMPUR: Several follow-up actions will be taken to improve the facilities and basic amenities at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Bangsar here, according to Lembah Pantai MP Fahmi Fadzil.

Fahmi said during his visit to the school on Monday (Sept 2), he noticed that certain amenities, such as toilets and air-conditioning systems, as well as non-structural aspects of the school, need to be improved.

"There are several things at SK Bangsar that are being looked into, including toilets and small cracks that have been there possibly since 2016.

"Developers in the surrounding area and the Public Works Department are also looking into it (possible improvements)...Insya-Allah, we will follow up with some actions to help improve facilities in SK Bangsar,” he told reporters here.

Earlier, Fahmi, who is also the Communications Minister, spent about an hour touring the school as part of his programme for his constituents. Prior to this, Fahmi had also visited SK Bukit Bandaraya and SK Bukit Pantai in the constituency.

Meanwhile, Fahmi said the efforts taken by MPs to visit schools in their respective parliamentary constituencies can be seen to help solve the problems occurring in schools.

"I see this as a way we can improve the condition of the schools.

"Last year, I managed to help upgrade the Internet service in all 12 primary and secondary schools in Lembah Pantai, but this year we are focusing on the physical aspects and will continue doing this,” he said. - Bernama
